First Lady: “Despite our geographical distance from Africa, our hearts are one and united”

Accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his Africa tour, First Lady Emine Erdoğan paid a visit to an orphanage in Mozambique, where children of different age groups are sheltered.

Also, the distribution ceremony of battery-operated wheelchairs, a program conducted by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency in Africa, was held. Delivering a speech at the ceremony, the First Lady said: “Despite our geographical distance from Africa, our hearts are one and united. If we can improve the living conditions of our brothers and sisters with disabilities just a little, it will make us greatly happy.”

The First Lady gave gifts to the children at the orphanage and made a donation. Mrs. Erdoğan was accompanied by Erzurum Deputy Zehra Taşkesenlioğlu and ministers’ spouses.
