Thousands of patients are treated every year at Pikine Social Pediatrics Institute, which is financially supported by TİKA to a great extent.
TİKA, which built a training facility, a pharmacy, a section for physical examination and a center for nutritional recovery and education to combat malnutrition within the institute compound, also set up fruit and vegetable gardens in a five-thousand-square-meter field in order to provide nutritional supplement to the malnourished children and their mothers. Having restored the old buildings, TİKA also carried out the renovation and the furnishing of the kindergarten which serves 150 children within the institute.
