First Lady Aïssata Issoufou Mahamadou of Niger was hosted by Tuba Nur Sönmez, Advisor to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at the African Handicrafts Market and Culture House, founded under the auspices of First Lady Emine Erdoğan.
Niger’s Ambassador to Turkey Adama Gazibo Salou and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) were also present at the event.
Speaking at the event, Ms Sönmez informed the guests about the activities carried out by the African Handicrafts Market and Culture House.
Stating that activities related to women, culture, cultural diplomacy and cooperation are carried out at the African House, which has a significant role in promoting Africa and which has for nearly two years been conducting its activities in the capital, Ms Sönmez said that the African House serves as a bridge between Turkey and Africa.
Briefed on the activities of YTB and TİKA, First Lady Issoufou of Niger addressed with officials opportunities for cooperation in Niger.
Students from YTB performed a mini concert at the event.
